Buying a property is something most people only ever do a couple of times in their life, and it's the most expensive transaction they ever complete. Yet we seem to be used to squinting at a grid of tiny photos in an email that doesn't contain anything useful, only to be taken to a listing with "more photos coming soon". Trying to find a good 2-bed property in London is hard enough without having to trawl through hundreds of listings with poor quality photos and inconsistent information. Browsing Ostrich is a breath of fresh air compared to that. Ostrich does it properly. You can actually see what the property is like from the photos, and it makes it easy to see crucial information like interior size, whether it's freehold or leasehold, and comparable properties nearby. Ostrich actually makes searching for a property an enjoyable experience!

My home has been listed on Ostrich since its inception after being recommended by a friend. My house isn’t for sale per se, but it’s been a great way for me to gauge the market and get an interesting perspective on what my home may be worth if I were to sell. I’ve actually even had two offers, which haven’t quite been enough to convince me to sell, but proves that there is interest out there and validates the price point that Ostrich assigned my home. I’m definitely going to keep my home listed on the site in case I get an offer that does convince me and to build a waiting list of potential buyers for when I do want to sell. There are some amazing homes listed and I’ve actually joined the waiting list for a couple as a buyer too.
